APPLICATION FOR THE 2026 SEASON IS NOW CLOSED
Nopoint is probably not the "typical" artist residency.
Because we invite artists to our studio. But also to our home.
Over the years, we built that home around the idea of welcoming artists from all around the world. To work together for a while. To live together for a while. To explore our understandings together. For a while. And then keep going in our own directions. Nothing was perfectly planned. There was just no point... Because many "planned" things have been changing along the way. So, we were simply doing it to the best we could. True to our own ways and our own vision. Testing it all out.
And we quickly ended up proving to ourselves that shared work provides many hidden values. And builds strong new relationships. That a break in the routine is the easiest way to question what we already know, allowing growth. And why not change? That earnest provocations come from unexpected places. Like working with people we have never met before.

The Print Residency Program at Nopoint Atelier is created to provide artists and creatives with time and space to explore, research, exchange ideas, and learn, while having access to a fully equipped silkscreen and risograph studio and working with a professional with years of experience in these printing techniques. Surrounded by the calmness and greenery of the Bulgarian Balkan Mountain, Nopoint gives participants a break from the everyday hustle and bustle, allowing for more focused work, new inspirations, and a different flow of ideas, provoked by the change in environment.
The program was built with the idea to help artists gain a better understanding of the process of screen and riso printing, allowing them a first-hand observation and guided participation in the processes in a printing studio, while working on their specific project. Working with a printing professional during the creative part encourages exploring possible problematic points, finding solutions, and answering questions that arise during their work. While participating in the printing process, allows artists to understand first-hand the possibilities and restrictions that screen and riso printing hold.
The printing residency program encourages exchange and collaboration, creating new connections and meeting fellow artists, which is why artists participate in groups of two, who share the space in Nopoint during the two-week program together and with us.
