Our idea of a travelling print residency combines the two best things in the world - printing and travelling!
In this second edition, we're planning a seaside trip along the coast of the Black Sea. We're going to make a 7-day road trip starting from the south and moving north. We'll go camping a bit, we'll do short hikes, we'll dip in healing mud baths, stroll in the old seaside towns, go canoeing, or who knows what more...
So, swimming would be a nice skill if you'd like to join!
Mosquitos are to be considered!
The road trip will end at Nopoint for an 8-day intense printing session and everyone will develop their silkscreen and/or riso project. Travelling will be with our van - yes, the same old one that we did the Risonate trip with. But instead of travelling with the Riso as a companion, we’re going to take aboard 3 artists.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:
- Project-specific art materials’ costs. This includes paints, brushes, markers, pens, chalks, or any other materials that artists need for the creation of their designs. Please, keep in mind that we are located in a small village, near a small Bulgarian town, Gabrovo. This means that art materials in the area are limited to the very basics, and you might not find a big variety of anything. We advise all artists to bring their favourite or needed pens, markers, paints, etc.
- Food is not covered in the program and artists are responsible to supply and cook for themselves. A fully furnished shared kitchen is available for everyone to use. We very much enjoy shared meals and we often cook and eat together. As there is not a shop in the village, we are going to help you with transportation to town for shopping.
- Transportation costs to and from Bulgaria (plane/train/bus tickets, visas, etc.) and artists are responsible for covering it.
- Any shipping costs of artwork, paper, or other materials, created during the residency.
- Artists are to attend and participate in the printing residency program during the fixed dates and work on a creative project during their stay at the studio.
- Five copies of each edition stay for the studio. All rights of the artwork stay for the artist. Nopoint receives the right to use the 5 copies left for the studio, but never to recreate it in any way without further agreement with the artist.
- Artists to take care of the space and equipment at Nopoint. This means cleaning after yourself, leaving the common areas neat, and adapting to the specifics of the house.
RESIDENCY FEE:
The residency fee for two weeks of Print Residence is 1600 EUR. Upon acceptance, the Artist must deposit 50% of the program fee to secure their place within 5 business days of receiving the acceptance letter. If the artist fails to deposit the amount within this deadline, they lose their place in the program, and the opportunity is forwarded to another artist. If the program is cancelled by the artist, the deposit will not be refunded. The full amount of the Residency fee should be paid up to 2 weeks before the start of the residency.
APPLICATION:
Application is open until 14 April.
As only 3 spots are available, applicants will go through a selection process. We will get in touch and share the news with all applicants until 18 April.
